Stating Facts, Not Lies

We need to state over and over again an economic fact that Republicans are trying to cover up. Whren President Clinton left office, this country had a budget surplus. When George W. Bush left office, we were so deeply in the hole financially that we could not accurately estimate how bad the situation really was. The Republican party tries to portray itself as being fiscally responsible. They are not. Their performance has proven the opposite. Don't forget this when election time arrives.

  1. You really need to rethink that. Even conservative radio hosts like Sean and Rush say that Bush was a bad President. Who is covering it up? In fact, many conservatives I have talked with thought Bush was one of the worst Presidents till Obama. Bush Seriously hurt us economically and he violated our Constitutional freedoms as well. The Tea Party formed up because of politicians who do not follow the ideological foundation of conservatives being nominated (and in Bush's case, elected). They intend to expose any politician that is not in line with conservative views in order to remove them from the race or from office if already elected.
Now that being said, During his Presidency, Bush doubled the debt in his 8 years in office. Obama called that unpatriotic and irresponsible and I agree. During Obama's presidency, the national debt has risen by $1.116 trillion more, per year, than it rose under Bush. You can argue that Bush set up an irreversible decline for Obama but you cannot argue that Bush is responsible for that additional trillion a year added on top of the Bush decline. That is all Obama. Responsibility is now in the vocabulary of Republicans as they fear the Tea Party will become a second conservative party and run against then. Politicians are watching the Tea Party take Republicans out of office for violating conservative ideals and on top of the list is a balanced budget to get us out of this situation. When Democrats get a check and balance to their irresponsible politicians, then you will have some high ground to stand on. At the moment, all you have is a bunch of criminals who have no proposed solutions to their Occupy movement other than to cost tax payers much more money by terrorizing little kids, businesses, police officers, and city streets.

    1. I am really pleased to know that in conservative Republican circles there are people who actually see how bad a president W. was. Frankly, I am surprised because I have not heard these criticisms. Probably that's because I don't log into conservative websites very often.

  2. Your first paragraph interests us a lot because you're talking about conservatives criticizing Bush (W). We weren't aware that they were criticizing him. That some conservatives talk about fiscal responsibility and actually realize how profligate one of their own was when he came into office is good news.

I'll have more to say regarding the rest of this post in a while.
